Video clips and animations

Sublimation of ammonium chloride

Ammonium chloride sublimes because it breaks into ammonia and hydrogen chloride on heating, and recombines again when it cools further up the tube. This isn't a very good bit of video and the commentary is impossible to understand, but it does show exactly what happens. Ignore the test with litmus paper. YouTube

The effect of temperature on the NO2 - N2O4 equilibrium

A simple, clear demonstration, but without a full explanation. YouTube

Instructions for practical work

I have referred to as a reliable source of instructions for experiments. If you find anything really good from other sources, could you let me know via the address on the about this site page of Chemguide.
